Bright Green Future chronicles a renaissance at the edge of a crisis.

As climate change shifts our planet towards an uncertain future, a movement of unlikely heroes are building a blueprint for a better world.

It’s a world where clean power grows wealth for local communities, resources regenerate themselves, city planning is driven by the people, and healthy soil is our greatest asset.

Inspiring stories in the book:

  • Lakota community organizers implement a Native American vision for the future of American towns and cities.

  • A Guatemalan-born farmer draws on the wisdom of rainforest ecosystems to start a bottom-up revolution in agriculture.

  • Cities in California band together to take over their energy systems charting a course for 100% renewables by 2025.

  • A Canadian startup harnesses sound energy to re-envision industry where materials cycle like nutrients in an ecosystem.

These are a few of the over 50 changemakers featured in the book. Their practical stories have opened a gateway for ordinary people to begin imagining and building the bright future we deserve.
